The Artist

This film was well directed. The decision to make a silent film in today's modern world was genius. I particularly liked the dream sequence where everything around the main star was making noise but he couldn't make a sound. It emphasized that he knew the "talking" movies would indeed be the next big thing in filmmaking but he didn't want to believe it. The cuts were smooth & helped the story flow. The end when the world of silent film & talking films met through a dance video was a great touch with the finish having the only dialogue in the film was brilliant. All in all I would give the film 5 out of 5 stars. I definitely recommend it to other viewers.
