The Artist - Vik Sklyarov
For a film a shot in our modern day and age that was suppose to represent the classic times of silent films, the making of and the transition from silent films to talkies , I think The Artist was very well executed. Me, being a fan of "show and not tell" I really enjoyed this film, it's story and how it was told to the audience without any actual "talking." I'm glad the the director was bold enough to create such a film like this in times of big budget Hollywood blockbusters, showing us the same thing over and over again just in different ways with different movie titles. The story even though not so unique was very delightful and entertaining to. The film making was great and stayed true to the style of the classic silent B&W films and if it wasn't for some recognizable actors in the film, it would have been very difficult to tell whether this was film made in 1927 or present day.
I give The Artist a 4.5.
