1.
Can you detect object and subjective reality as well as authorship? Please describe.
Yes,
although Truffaut displays more of a freely moving environment showing off the
lands of Paris and Germany. His camera style is identifiable.
2. How does the film treat political and or romantic or religious commitment?
2. How does the film treat political and or romantic or religious commitment?
The
movie’s focus is romantic, although the views at the time would think of the
two men sharing a woman would be religiously wrong. The movie in itself
struggles through this and accepts itself as the characters discover more about
themselves.
3. After researching your auteur, can you see elements of their personality in their characters? If so, which? Can you guess what their take on society is?
Society
is what you make of it, as long as you find happiness even through difficult
means. Life is short, live the way you want, with who you want.
